MAKING LOOPS FROM PILLOW CASES

Cut at the hem with pinking shears.
  • For long pillowcases, I cut off the hem.
  • For smaller pillowcases, I cut out the inside portion of the hem only.  Otherwise it may no be long enough to hang in a cage.
  • The narrower the material, the harder it is to turn right-side out.
Fold right sides together and sew

Cut 4 - 4 inch long pieces

Turn right-side out     You might have to use a pencil or scissors to help it through.
Turn pillowcase edge in about 1/4 inch and pin together

Sew edge.  Then sew all the way around about 2 to 3 inches in from the edge ( to anchor the batting so that it won't bunch up during laundering)

Take one of the 4 inch piece and fold in half. Then fold the bottom (loose ends) under
Sew to corner.  Repeat for each corner.
Attach hooks through loop

Hang.

ENJOY!
